We all know that early bird gets the worm, but did you know it’s also an early riser who is more likely to achieve their goals? A study published in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine found early risers are more productive and less stressed than late sleepers. In this blog post, we will explore why waking up early can have such a positive impact on your life!

Why you should wake up early

Early risers enjoy feeling rested and ready for what they need to do before others even wake up. They’re awake when everyone else is still sleeping and can take advantage of time that would otherwise go wasted. Early risers are more productive because they have an increased work capacity, and early rising is linked to enhanced cognitive functioning, as early birds feel sharper and clearer in the morning than after a night’s sleep. This makes them better equipped for mental tasks that require intelligence or creativity!

The Benefits of Waking up early.

  • early bird gets the worm! Early risers also have an increased chance of achieving their goals because early birds are more likely to be successful in the morning, while the early bird’s competitors who sleep late have not yet started working.
  • early rising is linked to enhanced cognitive functioning, as early birds feel sharper and clearer in the morning than after a night’s sleep. This makes them better equipped for mental tasks that require intelligence or creativity.
  • Early rising people are more productive because they’re awake during prime hours More likely to achieve goals due to higher success rates (will accomplish more in the early hours than competitors who sleep late)

How to wake up early

  • Keep your alarm clock away from the bed so that you have to get out of bed in order to turn it off.
  • Get to bed early enough on a daily basis so that it’s easier to wake early in the morning. This will make it more likely for you to get out of bed and start your day!
  • Get enough rest on a daily basis so that it’s easier to wake early in the morning.
  • Have a set morning routine: early risers should have a regular schedule as soon as they get up in the morning, to make it easier for their body and mind to adjust accordingly. This will also help them stay on track with achieving goals by having everything planned out early!

Keep in mind!

Waking up early offers a multitude of benefits, but what about the negatives? Early risers may experience lack of sleep and exhaustion. They can often be experiencing a decreased mental function in comparison to their late-sleeping competitors who rested better during prime hours. Early risers should make sure they get enough rest or else these negatives will come into play!

Conclusion

Don’t let that snooze button fool you, it may seem like you get more sleep but in reality the time lost during your morning hours will come back to haunt you. Say goodbye to feeling groggy and dissatisfied in your work and wake up early. Who knows? You might even start a new habit that sticks!

Shifting your sleep schedule can be a daunting task, and it takes commitment. I personally spent a month doing it and it wasn’t easy. But now that I’m accustomed to the new schedule, it makes it easier to stick with it. You will be glad you did, and I hope you give it a shot!
